Slade is built for deep work, thoughtful discussion, and the craft.
We created this platform as an antidote to the endless scrolling, noise, and superficiality of modern social networks. To maintain this environment, we require all members to adhere to the following guidelines.
We favor long-form, considered responses over quick reactions. Take your time before you hit send. Edit your thoughts. Ask yourself if your contribution adds value, nuance, or a fresh perspective to the room. Short, reflexive replies ("this", "lol", "+1") belong elsewhere.
Each room in Slade is dedicated to a specific discipline (e.g., Development, Design, Mathematics, Cinematography). Keep your discussions strictly relevant to the room you are in. Cross-posting or dragging off-topic conversations into specialized rooms dilutes the focus of the community.
This is a professional and intellectual space. We do not tolerate harassment, hate speech, bullying, personal attacks, or abuse of any kind. Critique the work, not the person. If you disagree with someone, do so respectfully and with evidence. Violators will face immediate and permanent bans without warning.
Do not use Slade as a billboard. Spamming links to your products, courses, or newsletters is strictly prohibited. If your own work is genuinely relevant to a high-level, ongoing discussion, you may share it—but you must provide deep context and explain exactly how it solves the problem being discussed. Explicit self-promotion disguised as participation will be removed.
We built specific tools for specific rooms because trying to explain code, math, or design in plain text is inefficient.
Do not share personal, private, or confidential information about yourself or others. This includes doxxing, sharing private communications without consent, or posting proprietary code/designs that you do not have permission to share.
Our moderation team actively monitors the platform. We reserve the right to remove any content or ban any user that violates these guidelines or the spirit of the community.
